OUR STORY

It all began in 2017 as a favor for a friend.  My friend wanted to construct a second floor edition to his home and he knew that I was a civil engineer and he believed that the permitting process would be a breeze for me to navigate.  He informed me that all I had to do was submit an application and a simple sketch of the addition.  Well, two months later, several city plan reviews and conversations with the plan review office, and a full plan set later my friend had his building permit.

Words can not express how thankful I am for that experience, because that was my introduction to the limitless business opportunities that residential construction offered me to use my then 11 years of civil engineering experience with the Department of Transportation.  From that point I created Gavins Engineering and began to market my services locally to residential property rehabbers and performed other engineering tasks for them, which allowed me to develop working relationships with other municipalities.

Now, my residential experience in conjunction with my current 16 years of Department of Transportation experience, I have the proven ability to provide practical and innovative solutions for the challenges that arise on both commercial and residential construction projects.  I effectively leverage my work experience to serve the homeowner build that home addition or to build that dream home, the investor to flip that property, the develop to build that subdivision or commercial property and the government agency to meet their engineering needs as a prime or subprime.
